Meet our artisans from Kibera

Kibera is one of the largest urban slums on the African continent and is located approximately 5 km outside the capital Nairobi.
Despite its extreme poverty, Kibera has a thriving community of artists, dancers, craftsmen and thousands of other talented residents.
Kibera is also called the ' CITY of HOPE' .

Our cow horn bracelets and rings are made under the creative direction of Jack. Beautiful modern jewelry is created by upcycling materials. Upcycling is when old and 'unusable' materials are transformed into something that is valuable again and often even more beautiful than before! The horn of a cow is a waste product from the meat industry and is normally thrown away, by recycling this material our bracelets and rings are created. Upcycling has become enormously popular in recent years all over the world. We are very proud that we can contribute to this. By purchasing this jewelry you can also help to improve their existence a little bit.

All our beautiful woodwork is handmade by Christopher. He has a small workshop in Kibera where he works daily. Our bowls and spoons are decorated with pieces of recycled cow horn.
Here too, by purchasing these products you can help a little bit towards a better life in the slum.
